From the clothes rack to the body of the wearer: Circumnavigate Kandos in our clothes
With a home-sewn banner flying off the back of her bicycle as she rode around Kandos, Alba Stephen was busy touting for a four-day performance event at Kandos Projects, formerly the NSW town’s haberdashery and general clothing store. Dressed in a metal-ribbed canvas skirt made from a Webers-branded outdoor umbrella, her outfit manifested a contradictory aesthetic of strange conjunctions and a salvage ethos. The invitation on the banner read Circumnavigate Kandos in our clothes.
