AI and artist’s copyright: Stay tuned
For years I’ve been advising clients about copyright with the emphasis that, at least insofar as art, music, literary works and drama are concerned, there are four primary tenets: there needs to be a human touch for a work to be protected; copyright protection is all about how something is expressed, rather than the ideas expressed; copyright grants enforceable rights; and, you generally need clearance to use someone else’s work. Of course, there is more to it than the above, but it is a good place to start.
