Asha Bee Abraham: Human ecologist and artist

As a human ecologist, I am interested in the relationships between humans and our natural, built and social environments. After studying, working and volunteering in the sustainability sector for ten years, I have turned to participatory art as a medium for exploring social, cultural and environmentally significant issues to create more resilient, and engaged communities. Instead of trying to give people answers as I had previously attempted to do in the sustainability sector, I now direct people to do this for themselves. Through my projects, I create opportunities for people to share their ideas and work together to identify issues and create their own solutions to them.
