Recent Pakistan art
Today it may be the most hackneyed of clichés (and an obvious oxymoron) but the world did change one day in September 2001. The attackers were not Pakistani, nor apparently were the masterminds, but the prism through which we were viewed by others and from where the gaze was returned, shifted strangely. Art-making in the past two decades falls almost too precisely into the years preceding 9/11, and those following that global tremor.
