The collecting and exhibiting of Indonesian art internationally has experienced profound shifts in recent years. In Singapore, Australia, the Netherlands and Japan, new institutions have emerged, others have expanded or transformed their programs, and many are addressing growing discourses around colonialism and representation and their impact on the telling of art histories.
