Yarrenyty Arltere Artists: Beautiful Ulkumanu
That Beautiful Ulkumanu she is a life changing artwork for us. She heals our problems like the art room does too. She is life after the rain, with her covered body of flowers and bush foods and ngkurlpa (tobacco). Beautiful and fresh and abundant and full of offering and hope. She gave us the opportunity to work even tighter and closer together. Sewing side by side on her body. That was time for us to really be there with each other and with our art. All our hands on her body felt healing.
