Sales and Marketing Manager
Salary: $61K FTE / year pro-rated over 3.5 days (22.6 hours per week)
Artlink Australia (established in 1981) publishes a quarterly themed magazine on the contemporary visual arts and related disciplines as print, online and digital editions. It is the leading source of critical writing on contemporary visual arts in the Asia-Pacific region and is distributed internationally.
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to grow our sales and readership. Offering flexible hours and a flexible working environment to the right candidate.
You will be responsible for all marketing, advertising sales and social media, and contribute to the development of Artlink’s business model, reporting to the Executive Editor and Artlink Board of Directors.
Some interstate travel and out of hours work will be required as a part of this role.
managing advertising sales and brokering partnership opportunities across the arts, education, media, government and private sectors;
managing online communications to promote the quarterly print, digital and online editions, including the promotion of online reviews, sector news and access to the Artlink archive;
developing Artlink’s media profile as a leading source for critical writing on topics of currency to Australian art and society;
support for magazine sales and distribution, working with the Administration and Finance Manager to grow the business model across digital and print distribution networks in Australia and the Asia-Pacific;
representing Artlink at art and art book fairs, industry conferences and events.
qualifications in marketing and communications;
excellent writing and communications skills;
experience in digital marketing, working with databases, analytics and reporting;
ability to identify niche markets and broker partnership opportunities to support advertising sales and distribution;
adaptability to working with a small team and office to support the business model of a small publisher;
passion for the visual arts and publishing sectors.
experience in a visual arts marketing and/or publishing role;
experience in managing websites and digtial publishing.
