Artlink has been supported by Commonwealth and State funding bodies since its inception in 1981. Currently we are assisted by the Australia Council through the Visual Arts Board and the Government of South Australia through Arts SA through the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, a joint Commonwealth/State initiative..

From time to time Artlink also receives special funding for individual issues or particular initiatives from other Funds within the Australia Council and from Arts Victoria, the NSW Ministry for the Arts, Arts Queensland, Arts Tasmania, Arts WA, and Arts NT, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, Health Promotions SA and others.
